First Aid Eye Wash and Eye Cups provide optimum healing, while helping to eliminate splash.

  • Available in 4 ounce plastic bottle, with 1 sterile, wrapped eye cup.
  • Contains two natural phosphate buffers and no eye irritants, providing the optimum environment for the eye to heal itself.
  • One-piece, plastic-moulded eye cups help eliminate splash and mess.

Emergency Eye Wash Unit Instructions on Use
This specially designed unit is engineered to provide maximum flow and insure fast effective aid. The unit delivers 6 or *16 gallons of sterile, isotonic, double-buffered relief.

Unique unit design provides for immediate relief. One pull of the yellow manifold produces a flow of liquid in less than one second. The unit will flush the eyes for over 15 minutes.

TO USE:
Place close to operator's hands at hazardous chemical work sites. Use on way to shower, if necessary.

  1. Assist injured patient to the nearest eye wash station. Seconds can make a difference in the extent of eye damage and injury.
  2. Activate eye wash stream by pulling down on the yellow manifold.
  3. Lower head until the eyes enter the eye wash stream. Hold eyelids open with thumb and forefingers. Flush for 15 minutes.
  4. Seek qualified medical attention immediately.

  • Hold bottle one inch above eye, hold lid open and blink.
  • Bottle can deliver 32 ounces in less than 7 seconds.
  • Get trained, professional help and report incident.

First Aid Eye Wash & Eye Cup Instructions on Use
  1. Unpack eye cup and bottle.
  2. Unwrap eye cup from sterile bag.
  3. Inspect bottle seal, if intact, twist off cap to open bottle.
  4. Fill eye cup 1/2 full eye wash by Lavoptik.
  5. Tilt head forward, place eye cup over eye, hold firmly.
  6. Tilt head back, blink 20 times or more. Eye cup with liquid becomes a controlled blink powered surge wash system.
  7. Tilt head forward, remove eye cup, discard liquid.
  8. Clean eye cup. Repeat on other eye.
  9. Close bottle. Store eye cup in sterile bag.


For Caregivers:
  1. Wear appropriate clothing and gloves.
  2. Sit patient upright, Tilt head forward.
  3. Place 1/2 full eye cup over eye, hold firmly.
  4. Tilt patient's head up and backwards.
  5. Instruct patient to blink.
  6. Tilt head forward, remove eye cup.
  7. Dispose of liquid as appropriate.
  8. Use fresh clean eye cup for next application.
Note: Explain "blink powered surge system" (like a washing machine) to control cleaning of eye and lids. Most patients like to control the blink and respond positively to the feel of cleaning action.
